About the Alliance for Manufacturing and Technology
We are a team of experienced, skilled consultants and trainers dedicated to helping manufacturers in Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Delaware, Steuben, Schuyler, Tioga and Tompkins counties grow, increase profitability and achieve world-class performance. Our goal is to have manufacturers remain, grow and prosper in the Southern Tier.
AM&T was established in 1988 as a private, non-profit organization to help small and mid-size manufacturers and high-tech startups in nine counties of the Southern Tier of New York become more competitive and grow.
We’re one of 10 Regional Technology Development Centers in New York and part of a national 60-center Manufacturing Extension Partnership. Our public-private partnerships – subsidized partially by New York’s NYSTAR program and the federal National Institutes for Standards and Technology MEP – able to provide excellent service at affordable prices.
AM&T is also ISO 9001:2008 certified.
We work closely with other economic development organizations, universities, community colleges and state agencies.
AM&T is governed by a board of directors and managed by an executive director.
Between 2006 and 2012, surveys by independent parties showed we:
