Workforce Training and Development

If you are a manufacturer, your workforce is your most valuable asset. Your productivity, profits and ability to compete globally, all come down to the success and effectiveness of your team. It is critical to consistently improve the skills and capabilities of your staff.

Create a Positive Leadership Team

Developing the skills of your workforce is more than a one-person job – your organization needs dynamic supervisors who will motivate staff to increase efficiencies and productivity. Empower your supervisors to improve the essential skills of your workforce through one of the following programs:

  • Job Relations: Build positive employee relations and create a workforce environment that embraces cooperation, motivation and conflict resolution
  • Job Instruction: Quickly train employees to carry out their responsibilities effectively while adhering to safety procedures.
  • Job Methods: Increase the quantity and quality of your products by making more efficient use of your people, machines and materials.

The AM&T approach: AM&T’s workforce experts provide a personalized approach to achieve results. We understand that your team is unique, which is why we offer small classes of typically eight to ten people. This improves engagement from all participants.

Leaders attend classes for two hours each day, for five days. Participating supervisors then return to the workplace after every session with personalized tasks to apply specific solutions to their workplace challenges.

Basic Project Management

AM&T also offers a basic project management course that will help your organization improve in critical management areas. This eight-hour workshop is designed for 12 to 14 participants to gain a better understanding of the five processes of project management:

  • Initiating
  • Planning
  • Executing
  • Controlling
  • Closing

We additionally have a certified Project Management Professional who will help your participants understand these five specific processes across nine identified areas of Project Management:

  • Integration
  • Scope
  • Time
  • Cost
  • Quality
  • Human resources
  • Communication
  • Risk
  • Procurement

You can also develop critical skills for your workforce through other AM&T programs. We encourage you to check out our Lean Enterprise and Quality Management Systems pages for more information.
