Event:
Introduction to Lean Office
Description:
This full day workshop will provide an overview of lean concepts
and their application to office and administrative processes. The
participants will be introduced to various lean concepts and be
given the opportunity to apply them in a simulated office
environment.
Participants act as office and
administrative workers, applying the lean tools to their individual
workspaces as well as across the entire process. This train-do technique
over three “shifts” illustrates cause and effect relationships for each
of the lean tools presented, and demonstrates how office
processes can be continually improved by eliminating waste.
The participants will be able
to measure the impact of their improvement efforts with the use of
simulation. The participants will also gain experience of an actual
office kaizen event.
